PGPD to Resume 2nd Annual “IRON TEAM” Endurance Competition

Prince George's County, Maryland …The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Operations Division will resume hosting their 2nd annual “IRON TEAM” Endurance Competition at Supplee Park in Laurel, Maryland.  The events were postponed due to inclement weather caused by Hurricane Irene.

The Iron Team Endurance Competition is an invitation to all law enforcement agencies, military and fire personnel to compete mentally and physically in various exercises that will test their endurance, strength, and cardiovascular abilities.  Each 4-person team will endure a 2.5 mile trail run, 25-yard equipment carry, 25-yard pole carry, 35-yard water crossing, a 50-yard officer rescue and other various grueling events.
