Police Make Arrests in Bomb Threat at Parkdale High School

     Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section has arrested two juveniles in connection with a bomb threat at Parkdale High School in Riverdale, Maryland.


     On October 27, 2011, at approximately 10:15 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 6000 block of Good Luck Road for a call of a bomb threat. Upon arrival, officers were approached by two students who said an individual approached and asked them where he could locate the school principal. He threatened the students by saying if he did not receive the necessary information, he would blow up Parkdale High School with a bomb.

     Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to trace the initial phone call of the bomb threat to one of the student’s cell phone. They were charged with false statement of a destructive device and conspiracy to commit a false statement of a destructive device. They have been released to their parents on their own recognizance.
