Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Adelphi Road

     Prince George’s County Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting which left a man dead yesterday evening in Adelphi, Maryland.


     On November 25, 2011, at approximately 8:33 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 9400 block of Adelphi Road for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found the victim lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Carlos Fernandez-Ramirez, 38, of the 9600 block of Cottrell Terrace in Silver Spring, Maryland, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives are currently working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive.
