Prince George’s Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man with three sexual assaults that occurred in Suitland.

At about 3amThursday, July 5th, the first victim, a man, stopped the suspect on Suitland Road and asked for directions to the Suitland Metro Station.  The suspect, Curtis Lee Sargent, Junior, of no fixed address, showed a handgun, demanded money and forced the victim to a park in the 5900 block of Suitland Road where he sexually assaulted the man.

About 40 minutes later, and 500 yards away, the suspect then approached two women.  The women were walking home in the 6200 block of Suitland Road when Sargent displayed a handgun and sexually assaulted his second victim.  She escaped and ran to call police.  While she was trying to get help, the suspect then forced the other victim into a front yard and sexually assaulted her.  Police canvassed the area and saw a person matching the description of the suspect.  He was captured with the help of a
K-9 at John Street and Suitland Road.  The weapon was recovered.  Sargent faces numerous charges including rape and first degree assault.  We will not be releasing a photo as we’re looking into whether this suspect could be involved in any other crimes.
