PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Fort Washington

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit  is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Fort Washington. The victim is 62-year-old Maxine Thompson of Woodhall Terrace in Fort Washington.

On April 14, 2015, at about 2:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Bock Road and Kingsway Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. When they arrived, the officers found Thompson suffering from critical injuries. She died of her injuries several hours later.

The preliminary investigation reveals a van heading westbound on Bock Road struck the victim. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was trying to cross Bock Road at the time. She was not in a crosswalk. The driver remained on the scene.
