PGPD Investigates Homicide in Forestville

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Forestville. The victim is 28-year-old Theodore Van Weeks III of Walters Lane in Forestville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.

On June 2, 2015, at about 6:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3300 block of Walters Lane for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they located the crime scene, but not the victim. A few minutes later, officers learned a relative had driven Weeks to the nearby Maryland State Police Barrack in Forestville for help. He was rushed to a hospital where he died a short time later.

Detectives believe Weeks was outside of his home when he got into an argument with the suspect. During that argument, the suspect stabbed Weeks. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect and motive in this case.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
