PGPD Investigates Homicide in Temple Hills



Updated September 7, 2015: The decedent is 26-year-old Taurean Beard of 23rd Place in Temple Hills. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS. Tipsters do not have to give their name and could be eligible for an up to $25,000 reward.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Temple Hills. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.

On September 6, 2015, at about 11:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 4600 block of Dallas Place for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Preliminarily, detectives believe this homicide may have stemmed from an attempted robbery.

Two other victims were hurt during this incident. Preliminarily, their injuries do not appear life-threatening. 

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) in this case.
