Detectives to Canvass Forestville Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation

 
 
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit will canvass a Forestville neighborhood this evening where a man was recently found murdered. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.
 
On March 23, 2016, at about 5:20 am, patrol officers were called to the 5000 block of Hil Mar Drive. The victim’s body had been found outside of a home. The investigation reveals the man had been shot and also set on fire. The victim was later identified as Rashaad Tate.
 
Detectives will pass out Crime Solvers flyers seeking information in this investigation. The canvass is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm in the 4000-5000 block of Hil Mar Drive.
