Detectives Investigate Homicide in Bladensburg

Detectives are investigating a homicide in Bladensburg. The victim is 75-year-old Delores Rivers of 58th Avenue in Bladensburg. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On November 6th, at about 12:00 pm, officers with the Bladensburg Police Department were called to the 4200 block of 58th Avenue for a death investigation. The officers found the victim inside of her apartment. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

An autopsy revealed the victim’s cause of death was trauma to the upper body. The manner of death was ruled a homicide. 

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
